Most of the poems were written in a time where I was struggling with recent sobriety and the demons of my past. Some of the poems seem to be directed towards specific people in my past, but I can&#8217;t actually place them. So, Dear Reader, if you see yourself in my twisted words, let me know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There was a point in my life, obviously, where the poetry dried up. Someone I care about told me that one of my poems was &#8220;weird&#8221; and then I became ashamed. I take the opinions of others to heart far more than is healthy. Like many creatives I cling to the criticism and regard the compliments with cynicism.
