30 days to get it write

Many years ago I got into the habit of setting myself challenges – a month without booze, 100 days of creativity, 30 days of gratitude. Somewhere, inexplicably, I stopped, abruptly on something like day 97 of a 100 day challenge.

Recently I trawled through the results of a pass “100 days of writing” challenge and was amazed to find a whole anthology-worth of poetry. I shared most of it here – look for the poems dated 2015 specifically. It was strange to look back at my words and I wondered about the emotion behind some of the poems – especially “Finalization – a poem for S – no idea what was going on here, and who is S?

After much hesitation, I’m setting myself a challenge to write and publish something, anything, on this blog, everyday this month. I toyed with the idea of just posting whatever I’m working on for that particular day, but this shouldn’t be about creating content for other projects. So expect a lot of emotional poetry and rambling essays!
